Animals killed on the road..do we care?

We all have sympathy for people who become casualties in road accidents but have we ever thought about the poor animals that get killed everyday? I have seen a lot of carcasses of animals when I drive to work everyday. Victims of road kills. The scene is horrible, worse than the live feeds or images of human victims we see on TV. Today I saw the remains of a poor dog (Godspeed) splattered on the highway. And the smell of fresh blood can make you puke. I wish drivers would show sympathy for these voiceless creatures. And we don’t seem to care if the animals are injured. Stupid humans.
